Alberto Rodríguez Ortiz is an internationally acclaimed guitarist, composer, and educator from Puerto Rico. Renowned for merging classical tradition with Caribbean influences, Rodríguez Ortiz creates works that resonate across cultural and musical boundaries.
His compositions have premiered in distinguished venues such as Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall (New York), La Salle Cortot (Paris), and Pablo Casals Hall (San Juan). He has received commissions from institutions like the Puerto Rico Symphony Orchestra, Camerata Caribe, and Ana G. Méndez University, and his works are regularly performed in North America, Europe, and the Caribbean.
Rodríguez Ortiz currently serves as Professor of Classical Guitar at the Puerto Rico Conservatory of Music and has been a guest lecturer and artist-in-residence at numerous international programs.
